Why link back?

The animal IP sites are a scattered, wonderful little corner of the web. Some go back more than a decade; some appear and vanish without anyone noticing. A shared badge turns a pile of unrelated single-serving sites into an actual zoo — visitors who land on your cow can wander off to a duck, a monkey, or a lemur, and come back. Every link makes the whole warren easier to find, for humans and for search engines alike.

We don't gate it. If it's an animal and it shows an IP, it belongs here, badge or no badge.

Get your animal listed

Not in the directory yet? That's the fun part. IP Animals is open source, so adding a new critter is a two-minute pull request:

  1. Open the project repository.
  2. Add your site to the animals list — name, emoji, domain, and a one-line blurb.
  3. Open a pull request. We'll review, merge, and your animal joins the zoo.

Spotted a broken link or a new animal that isn't ours to add? Open an issue instead — every report keeps the zoo healthy.
